Eldon Sloan graduated from the University of Kansas in 1931 with an A.B. Degree, and from the Washburn Law School in 1933 with an L.L.B. Degree, which was later changed to a J.D. Degree.

He commenced practicing law in 1933 with the firm of Sloan, Hamilton & Sloan, predecessor of the firm of Sloan, Listrom, Eisenbarth, Sloan & Glassman. He retired in 1979, and is now Of Counsel to the firm.

Mr. Sloan's main interests were in food and drug law, gas rate regulation and bank insurance matters.

He served as Police Judge for the City of Topeka from 1940 to 1944 and as Director of Property Valuation from 1957 to 1960. He was a member of the Kansas Board of Regents from 1964 to 1968.

Mr. Sloan is admitted to practice before all Kansas Courts, the Kansas Federal District Court, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States .

Mr. Sloan has served on the Board of Directors of the Topeka Provident Association, later the Family Service and Guidance Center and as the President of the Family Service and Guidance Center.

He is a member of the Topeka Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Judicature Society.
