 Concentrating
his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and
asset protection, James Richard Biles became Of
Counsel to Sloan Law Firm on May 1, 2008. Mr. Biles holds
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Sciences from
Emporia State University. He received his J.D. from the
University of Illinois.
Following law school, Mr. Biles was employed by Coopers &
Lybrand as a tax specialist in its Springfield,
Massachusetts office. Upon returning to Kansas, Mr. Biles
was employed as an associate attorney with Sloan Law Firm
from 1991 until he began solo practice in 1995.
Mr. Biles is a member of the American, Kansas and Topeka Bar
Associations. He is active in the local bar as a member of
the Probate and Publications Committees. He speaks to civic
and professional organizations on estate planning and on
asset protection.
