With
an association with Sloan Law Firm that began in the early
1950's, James W. Sloan has served clients and the
legal profession with integrity for decades. His association
with the current firm actually began with Sloan Law Firm's
predecessor, Sloan, Hamilton & Sloan, upon graduation from
the Washburn University School of Law in 1952.
In Mr. Sloan's career, he has previously served the public
as an Assistant County Attorney for Shawnee County, Kansas.
He has maintained numerous organizational and charitable
affiliations through the years, and remains active as an
Advisory Board member of the Salvation Army of Topeka; board
member of the Kansas Children's Service League Foundation;
and as a member of the Board of the Washburn Endowment
Association.
Mr. Sloan specializes in probate matters, real estate law
and taxation. He is a member of the Topeka Bar Association
and is a past Chairman of the T.B.A.'s Probate Committee
(1982 to 1988). He is also a member of the Kansas Bar
Association and the American Bar Association.
Admitted to practice in the state courts of Kansas, the
United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and
the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit,
Mr. Sloan continues an active practice and is proud to be
part of Sloan Law Firm's long history.
