Kenzie
Singleton joined Sloan Law Firm in December 2006. With
her office located in Sloan Law Firm’s Lawrence, Kansas
branch, Ms. Singleton’s practice focuses on a variety of
civil matters, including family law, employment law,
personal injury, and civil litigation.
From November 2004 until joining Sloan Law Firm, Ms.
Singleton was a partner at Hawkins & Singleton, L.L.C. in
Lawrence, where she specialized in family law. Prior to
that, she worked for Kansas Legal Services, primarily
handling high-conflict domestic violence family law cases.
Ms. Singleton graduated from Fort Hays State University in
1999 with Bachelor of Liberal Arts degrees in History and
English, as well as a Certificate of Ethnic Studies. While
attending Fort Hays State University, she worked at Dreiling,
Bieker and Hoffman, LLP and volunteered as a Court Appointed
Special Advocate. She graduated from the University of
Kansas School of Law in 2001 and is admitted to the Kansas
bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kansas
Bar Association, the Douglas County Bar Association, and the
Douglas County Criminal Defense Bar Association.
Ms. Singleton has lived in Lawrence since 1999 and has been
actively involved in the local community. She has served on
the West Junior High School Site Committee and the Executive
Board of Women's Transitional Care Services. In 2006, Ms.
Singleton was elected President of the Local Young Lawyer's
Section of the Douglas County Bar and was honored to plan
the annual Lawrence Law Day.
