Sloan Law Firm Announces Retirement of
Longtime Partner
(December 7, 2005) - Vernon L. Jarboe,
president of the Topeka law firm of Sloan, Eisenbarth, Glassman, McEntire &
Jarboe, L.L.C., has announced that Louis F. Eisenbarth, a longtime partner in
the firm and Topeka-area attorney, will retire December 29, 2005.
Eisenbarth has practiced law since his graduation from the Washburn University
School of Law in 1954. He has maintained a wide-ranging practice, and has also
specialized in defense of employers in labor and discrimination claims;
corporate organization, planning and representation; wills; trusts; estates;
business transactions; and civil litigation.
Among his many ties to the Topeka community, Eisenbarth served as an assistant
city attorney for the City of Topeka (1957-1960) and as an adjunct professor of
law teaching Corporation Law and Creditor Rights at Washburn Law School
(1967-1978). He served on the Washburn University Board of Regents from 1981
through 1987 and was the Chairman of the Board from 1982 to 1984.
Eisenbarth has taught seminars on real estate law and corporation law for the
Kansas Bar Association and other groups. He has authored the Kansas Real Estate
Handbook on contracts and closings. He is past president of the Topeka Bar
Association and member of the Kansas Bar Association and American Bar
Association; a member of the Labor, Taxation, Corporation and Real Estate
sections of the American Bar Association; and he is admitted to the Kansas Bar,
Federal District Court, United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, United
States Tax Court, United States Court of Claims and the United States Supreme
Court.

continuing the tradition of excellence he has helped create at the firm.”
Sloan Law Firm has been a member of the legal community in Kansas for more than
75 years. The firm, originally founded in 1930, offers services in a variety of
areas, including civil litigation, domestic and family law, estate planning,
personal injury, real estate, corporate, tax, and business planning.
