Christopher
W. Sook graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of
Arts in History in 1993 and received his Juris Doctorate
from the University of Kansas School of Law. Chris joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2002, and in 2006 he became a member of the firm.
Prior to attending law school and becoming a part of the
Sloan Law Firm family, Chris spent over twelve years working
in the broadcasting industry in western Kansas. During law
school, he worked two years as a graduate teaching assistant
in the University of Kansas School of Business, teaching
business law to undergraduate students. He was also a member of one of the University of Kansas School of Law's moot court teams and a member of Moot Court Council.
Mr. Sook is admitted to the Kansas Bar, the Missouri Bar,
the U.S. District Court, District of Kansas; and the U.S.
District Court for the Western District of Missouri .He has successfully argued before the Kansas Court of Appeals. His professional
associations include membership in the American Bar
Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Missouri Bar
Association, Topeka Bar Association and the Sam A. Crow
American Inn of Court. In 2010-2011, he is serving as president of the Kansas Bar Association’s Corporate, Business and Banking Section. Mr. Sook has also served as an
adjunct instructor in the Legal Studies program at Washburn
University. He is also a member of local service and
business organizations, including the Topeka Heartland Sertoma Club.
