Specializing in the areas of family law and domestic relations, James R. McEntire is a long-time member of Sloan Law Firm. Mr. McEntire graduated from Washburn University in 1973, Magna Cum Laude. He then earned his law degree in 1976 when he graduated with honors from the Washburn University School of Law.
After serving as a research attorney for the Kansas Court of Appeals, Mr. McEntire joined Sloan Law Firm as an associate attorney in 1978. He became a member of the firm in 1980, and while his practice has included a wide variety of civil law matters, his practice and emphasis in family and domestic law made him a respected member of the Bar.
Mr. McEntire’s professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, and the Topeka Bar Association. He has taught as an associate professor at Washburn University, both in the School of Business and the School of Applied and Continuing Education in the probate and domestic relations areas. He has also participated as a speaker and a teacher at various seminars and classes.
